2 Inexpensive Ways of Waterproofing Your Wet Basement

There are many people who are terrified at the prospect of waterproofing their basement simply because of the high cost it incurs. Countless such people wait for years until their basement problems become worse, to the point that it weakens the foundation and the house in on the verge of collapsing. This is all done to save oneself from the high anticipated cost, but such people end up paying much more than money when the problems get aggravated.

If expense is all you care about, there are far cheaper ways than exterior excavation (which is the process that people fear) around the foundation to waterproof your already wet basement. But remember, these are best if done early, and not when the basement is already teeming with water everywhere. Usually, the vast majority of basement problems are easily and inexpensively fixed using basement waterproofing products produced by any of the various leading construction chemicals manufacturers in India.

Here are 2 ways of dealing with your wet basement using waterproofing products:
1.     If you have a poured concrete foundation you can repair most leaks in the basement by injecting them, usually by a process called polyurethane injection. The most common sources of water seepage are hairline cracks in the foundation wall, which are inexpensively repaired by injecting/sealing them with expanding polyurethane (like CICO Cochem 206 I) that fills the crack and seals it all the way through the foundation wall to the outside soil.

2.     If you have a concrete block or cinderblock foundation, injection is not a viable repair option. The cheapest way to waterproof this foundation type is usually by installing an interior perimeter drain system.

Water leakage solutions in Delhi can be obtained so you won’t have any problems finding professionals to apply the products in a proper fashion.
